San Carlos (Sant Carles de Peralta) is a typical little village located in the north part of the island. A rural reference spot, surrounded by a red soil landscape and traditional rustic farmhouses.

This small village is dominated by a very nice whitewashed church built in 1785, having a rectangular trace and a very singular bell tower shifted to the left. In the church yard there’s a nice little garden, a traditional water well and the remains of a Roman oil mill. Around the church there are nice and singular bars, such as Ca n’Anneta, where you can taste the traditional homemade Ibicenco herbal liqueur.

San Carlos also has, for many decades, an intense cultural, artistic and crafts activity (such as Las Dalias craft and hippy market) due to during the 50’s and afterwards many intellectuals and artists chose this little village as their residence. Very nearby San Carlos you can find some charming beaches such a Cala Llenya, Cala Mastella, Cala Boix and Aguas Blancas. Always bohemian atmosphere and at the same time, cool. Very Ibiza!.
